Using Area Demographics in
Developing an Affirmative Action Plan

This course covers the types of
compensation and benefit data and their sources used in Affirmative Action
Plans. Several typical Action Plan methodologies will be reviewed, each
with a focus on the data elements utilized. Hiring rates, employment
availability, task inventories, skill values and pay, competitive
compensation levels, and other compensation elements will be reviewed.
Every affirmative action plan makes certain assumptions and relies on
preset mathematical models. The resultant data shown is then, itself, used
in analyses to reach further conclusions, findings, and recommendations.
This course is not a typical "how to write an affirmative action plan
training guide" but rather a review of the basic building blocks of these
plans, specifically those related to employment statistics and
compensation levels. Its focus and application is for the professional who
might be involved in assisting in litigation related to these plans.
