CBP/GRP/CCP/WLCP Certification
WorldatWork Society of
Certified Professionals offers four types of professional certification:
-
Certified Compensation
Professional (CCP®):
Since 1976, CCP certification has provided proof of CCP recipients'
expertise in compensation planning and administration. To earn the CCP
certification, you must pass nine required exams.
-
Certified Benefits
Professional® (CBP): CBP
certification requires a passing score on seven exams, however the subject matter focuses on employee benefit programs. Retirement plans, health and welfare plans, benefits regulations and other aspects of benefits design and administration are covered.
-
Global Remuneration
Professional (GRP®):
The GRP certification provides a foundation of remuneration knowledge spanning across borders. The GRP supports professionals to excel around the world. To earn the GRP certification, you must pass eight exams.
-
Work-Life Certified Professional (WLCP®):
The WLCP certification is designed to help HR professionals understand how to minimize the clash of work and life responsibilities that employees face. To earn the WLCP certification, you must pass four exams.
Why obtain CBP, GRP, CCP, or WLCP certification?
Human Resources and compensation
professionals are not required to obtain state licenses for their practice. To
prove their expertise and develop greater knowledge in their fields, they must
pursue their own continuing education. The ERI
Distance Learning Center (DLC) and WorldatWork
Society of Certified Professionals both provide venues for Human Resources,
compensation, and benefits
professionals' development.
Standards of Professional Practice
WorldatWork serves as a standard bearer in the field of compensation and benefits administration. The WorldatWork Society of Certified Professionals Standards of Professional Practice were created to "promote and maintain the highest level of ethical conduct in the profession." These provide a code of conduct that WorldatWork certified professionals should follow.
Obtaining the WorldatWork Society
of Certified Professionals CCP certification demonstrates to your peers and
employers that you are committed to staying on the cutting edge of your
profession.
WorldatWork
Society of Certified Professionals Exams
Each WorldatWork Society of
Certified Professionals certification exam has approximately 100 multiple-choice
questions that test your knowledge of compensation, benefits, and work-life practices.
WorldatWork Society of Certified Professionals offers a 2-day preparation
course prior to each exam. These WorldatWork Society of Certified Professionals
courses are offered worldwide, providing training on GRP, CBP, CCP, or WLCP
certification exam topics.
These preparation courses are not required. You may
also prepare for the exams through self-study. (ERI Distance Learning
