Online Credential in Compensation and Job Analysis
ERI's Job and Compensation Analyst (JCA) certification is the only national program available for the training and credentialing of job analysts and compensation professionals.
This distance education credential requires that you prove your mastery of the latest job analysis techniques, as well as the use of compensation planning methods and salary survey software. Earning ERI's JCA credential will provide recognition that you have met a standard of knowledge and experience in the fields of Human Resources, compensation and benefits, and job analysis.
In order to receive the JCA designation, you must complete 50 JCA credit hours within a year of beginning your first course. This can be accomplished through attending ERI webinars OR by passing ERI Distance Learning Center (DLC) online
courses for JCA credit. In addition,
you must have at least 4 years experience in the fields of Human Resources,
compensation, or job analysis. (University
students, recent graduates and career changers are exempted from this rule.)
JCA Online Learning Advantages
This distance education program will promote your career advancement, proving to your employer (and others) that you have demonstrated expertise in the fields of compensation administration and job analysis. Employers who see that you have earned 50 JCA credit hours will know that you have received advanced training to handle the toughest compensation issues, including taxation, executive compensation, job analysis and job evaluation, office relocation, salary surveys, discrimination, incentive pay, and more.
JCA Distance Education
Earning the JCA online learning credential requires no travel time or travel expense. Users can complete this distance education program from their home or office 24/7. In addition, this online learning program has a lower cost than other compensation certifications. The total cost of receiving the JCA credential is $1,800 (US). Other certification programs cost upwards of $8,000 for all courses and exams (not including travel expenses if their classes are not offered in your home town).
The JCA credential is intended for the professional analyst, not the generalist and/or manager. For the latter types of certification, ERI recommends the programs of either the WorldatWork Society of Certified Professionals or the Society for Human Resource Management.)
In order to earn a JCA credential, you must complete 50 JCA credit hours within 1 year. You may do this by selecting 50 courses from those offered by the DLC, of which 6 must include these DLC quantitative methods courses:
Each Distance Learning Center online course is worth 1 JCA credit hour. In order to earn JCA credit for an online course, you must take a JCA exam and pass with a score of 80% or higher. You may retake this exam as many times as necessary in order to pass. You will only be charged once.
Applicable JCA credits will apply to the BAC and CAC credentials for one year, should you decide to pursue those additional certifications. You can see all the credits you have earned in your Training History.
JCA credit hours can also be earned by attending DLC webinars.
