This interactive software uses the same construct as the Department of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational Titles (now out of print), but enhances the old Dictionary of Occupational Titles by:

updating more than 20,000 job descriptions
including 99 worker characteristics, including physical, cognitive, temperaments, and more
adding filters that let you find alternate positions for individuals based on their interests, skills, and physical abilities

The Occupational Assessor gives you access to more than 9,000 position descriptions for 20,000 job titles.

Job Analysis and HRM

The Occupational Assessor includes filters that enable you to find alternate work for individuals.

Here's how: First input the person's prior jobs, education, interests, and physical/mental abilities. This includes ability to handle stress and perform manual labor such as lifting/carrying or standing for prolonged periods of time. Based on your inputs, the Occupational Assessor will provide an alternate jobs list. In addition, this job analysis software will present job availability statistics for positions in selected geographic areas. That way you'll know if viable employment actually exists for the individual.
